Burma, Especially Its Children – Post 13: Schooling in the City
Children in government-run public schools in the city wear uniforms color coded by their level. These green and white uniforms are worn by elementary-school students. The kids are full of energy, even at the end of the school day!
Middle class children at a private school in Yangon are also pretty active during their freetime.
Many students hang out here in Inya Park, next to Yangon University. These students’ families must be wealthy enough to pay their tuition, room, and board.
These students let me take their photo with the Yangon skyline in the background, and then used their cellphones to take photos of me with them.
